Depot Sound and Under the Radar have teamed up to give one lucky band/musician a full day of recording/mixing at the Depot Sound studio with respected engineer Dave Rhodes. This is an ideal opportunity for a band/musician to get a single professionally recorded or polish up some demos.

Depot Sound is the Depot Artspace recording studio; it has a colourful history with some of New Zealand’s greatest musicians and producers, having housed local stars The Checks, The Electric Confectionaires, The Veils, White Birds and Lemons, Gin Wigmore and many more.

The studio now has a new manager, Dave Rhodes whose engineering expertise is exceptional and eclectic having spent the last 7 years at Stebbing Recording Centre in Herne Bay where he worked with a huge variety of people including Six60 and APO, John Rowles, the Topp Twins and Hollie Smith. Before Stebbing, Rhodes spent 9 years making New Zealand on Air funded programmes to promote New Zealand music on mainstream radio. He created shows for The Rock, ZM, The Edge, Classic Hits and smaller regional stations. During that time he recorded, mixed and even made music videos for bands such as Pluto, Voom, Darcy Clay, Tadpole, Dub Asylum, Sam Hunt and Crumb.
