Brendan Thomas and the Vibes
Brendan Thomas and the Vibes trade in a technicolour brand of rock n’roll that’ll have you pining for your Zeppelin DVDs. Already artists in their own right, the band’s enduring presence on X Factor has seen their ‘The Eclect’ EP rocket to the top of the charts, their guitars laid to waste on national TV, and a tonne of peace, love and understanding.
Dukebox are a hard hitting funk rock band based in Auckland. Made up of bass, guitar, drums, luscious soulful vocals and a killer horn section they are bringing back the funk with a new twist. With a sound and energy reminiscent of the likes of James Brown and Motown, Dukebox are a must see live act. Guaranteed to get your hips moving and your freak flag flying.
Quinn The Human
Quinn The Human take having fun very seriously. 3 parts Burlesque, 2 parts Sylvester Stallone, QTH are a sexy, spooky rock band from Auckland. With deep roots in Devonport/shore history, The QTH bass player made Lorde’s coffee. Before she was famous. Their EP ‘Good News, Everyone!’ is on Spotify
TUGGS is a four piece alternative pop/rock band based in Devonport, Auckland. Following the release of their debut EP ‘Pressure’ in early 2015, the band have been playing numerous gigs around Auckland and are currently in the process of recording their next EP which will be released shortly.
Auckland, NZ, based musician Amelia McNabb, brings her stunning vocals, layered harmonies and catchy song hooks, to the music scene. At 19, she blends her acoustic pop style with reminiscing and memorable song-writing skills. Amelia is a dedicated guitarist, pianist, occasional drummer and secret steel pan drum player. Whilst collaborating with likeminded musicians through YouTube, Amelia has found a fan base worldwide. Born in Scotland, UK and raised in Tauranga, NZ, she continues to use her time to pursue a music career, playing multiple gigs (including singing
for the Rugby World Cup 2011), writing songs and releasing cover songs, gaining attention from NZ Radio such as ZM, More Fm, Classic Hits and Waatea Radio. Currently studying a Bachelor of Popular Music at the University of Auckland, Amelia is also set to release an EP of original songs in the near future.
Oak features Gala Morris and her cousins Julia and Maude Morris – Devonstock will be their debut public performance!
